Credit Card Processing

Credit Card Processing

When it comes to credit card processing, our objective is to ensure that all of our clients are compliant with industry standards, aware of the implications of specific industry mandates, and to provide the latest optional technology that assist businesses with revenue growth. Our priority is to make sure each merchant client we service gets the lowest rates and fees on their account with no contract terms or cancellation penalties. When merchant clients have hardware that is not compliant and/or does not meet specific industry standards, we do not use that as a way to sell marked up hardware. We show each merchant client the risks and penalties that can occur, and let each merchant decide for themselves if hardware is necessary. Again, the point is to save money to each merchant client on the payment acceptance of credit and debit cards in their business. Rest assured that if hardware is a choice, whether that be for compliance or to take advantage of revenue growth, our pricing will not be beat!

To be compliant with industry standards, merchants must be PCI Compliant. The Payment Card Industry (PCI) Security Standards Council is comprised of the major credit card associations (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and Japan Card). They have established a set of security standards to ensure that merchants and service providers follow best practices in order to reduce credit card fraud and security breaches. By accepting VISA and MasterCard payments, merchants and service providers are required to become Payment Card Industry compliant. By giving us your current terminal type, we can explain whether it is PCI Compliant. Most terminals manufactured in the last 10 years are compliant. If a terminal is PCI Compliant, the only issue a merchant must meet is the annual PCI SAQ. This is a short questionnaire that must be performed once each year. If the SAQ is not performed, merchants are charged a PCI Non-Compliance Fee. Our vendor partners charge under $25 a month for PCI Non-Compliance, but this is not meant to be a revenue stream. Some merchants pay well in excess of $25. If you are Non-Compliant, what is your monthly fee that is shown on your current statement? By becoming a merchant client, merchants have 90 days to do SAQ with no fees. If the SAQ is done within 90 days, no fees will be assessed for that year. Merchant clients will be notified by email to do their annual SAQ. Our goal is 100% compliance!

Credit Card Processing – EMV Compliance.

To be compliant with industry mandates, a merchant must have a way to process transactions by EMV when EMV cards are presented. Using an EMV-enabled device protects your business from financial loss due to credit card processing fraud. Prior to October 1st, 2015, banks reimbursed cardholders for fraudulent activity that happened on their card. However, after October 1st, this financial burden will fall on merchants who do not have an EMV-enabled device. This could add up to significant expenses. Our vendor partners have incredible technology for accepting EMV transactions when cards are present for any industry type.

To provide the latest optional technology for businesses processing credit cards, our vendors have a vast array of NFC payment technology that allows merchants to accept AndroidPay and ApplePay transactions. Ease of use by going contactless creates more repeat sales, thus driving revenue.

Next Day Funding is offered by our Vendor Partners with some cutoff times as late as 7:30 PM PST/10:30 PM EST. Many merchants depend on receiving their deposits quickly in order to keep the business running smoothly. Most of our merchant clients are qualified for Next Day Funding. There are only a few exclusions that would prevent your business from qualifying for NDF: 1) Poor business or personal credit history. 2) High chargeback rates or history of ACH returns. 3) Large ticket merchants with no processing statements provided or a sporadic processing history. Example: A merchant that only process a few large transactions a month. 4) Other high-risk business situations. Business that do not qualify for NDF will most likely be approved for 48-hour funding.
